Proofreading involves Sarah’s close review of the student’s paper or project to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, style, and formatting errors. Documents provided in Microsoft Word are returned in two versions: one clean copy and one copy with tracked changes and comments.
Editing | $65/hour
Editing extends beyond proofreading to optimize clarity, cohesion, flow, tone, and voice. Sarah meets with the student for an initial consultation to discuss the details and rubric of the assignment. Initial consultation is conducted via phone, Zoom, or FaceTime.* Documents provided in Microsoft Word are returned in two versions: one clean copy and one copy with tracked changes and comments.
Private Tutoring (English/literature) | $75/hour
Tutoring provides the student with specialized, one-on-one assistance to address specific areas needing improvement. Tutoring with Sarah is conducted via Zoom or FaceTime.*
Thesis/Paper Development (English/literature/humanities) | $75/hour
Thesis/paper development includes one-on-one consultation with Sarah to help the student work through ideas for paper topics, content, organization, and connections to readings and research. Consultation is conducted via phone, Zoom, or FaceTime.*
Admission/Application Essay Development | $100/hour
Admission/application essay development includes one-on-one consultation with Sarah to help the student work through ideas, content, and organization. Consultation is conducted via phone, Zoom, or FaceTime.*
Book Study (English/literature) | Starting at $500
For assigned readings that will culminate in a paper or project, book study provides dedicated support throughout the entire process. Sarah completes assigned readings with the student, conducts analysis/discussion sessions, consults on thesis/draft development, and edits the final paper/project. Discussion and consultation sessions are conducted via Zoom or FaceTime.*
Semester Study (English/literature) | Starting at $1500/semester
Semester study includes tandem completion of all assigned readings and development support for all assignments throughout the semester. Additionally, Sarah conducts weekly, private tutoring/analysis/discussion sessions via Zoom or FaceTime,* as well as draft consultation and editing for all assignments.
Discounted packages are available for students requesting for multiple services.
